All About Broccoli Florets

Broccoli Florets Information

  • 100 g broccoli florets Approximately 1 cup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For roasting or stir-frying
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper Optional for seasoning

Instructions
 

  • To steam: Place broccoli florets in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for 3-5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  • To roast: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  • To blanch: Boil water in a pot, add broccoli florets, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Transfer immediately to ice water to preserve color and texture.

Notes

Broccoli florets are best stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For longer storage, blanch and freeze them for up to 12 months.
