Cheesy Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  

Cheesy Rice

  • 1 cup rice Jasmine or long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken broth (or water) to a boil.
  • Add the rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender (about 15 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
  • Mix in shredded cheddar cheese and milk, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  • Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper. You can also add cooked veggies like broccoli for a nutritious twist!
