Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf focaccia bread sliced in half horizontally
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for brushing
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese fresh
  • 2 ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp pesto sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Brush olive oil on both halves of the focaccia bread.
  • Lightly toast the bread in a grill pan or panini press until golden and slightly crispy.
  • Spread pesto sauce on the bottom half of the bread.
  • Layer mozzarella slices, tomato slices, and basil leaves on top.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Close the sandwich and slice into portions before serving warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, grill the sandwich on both sides for a few minutes. Try adding grilled chicken or prosciutto for a heartier version.
