focaccia bread
sliced in half horizontally

olive oil

pesto sauce

balsamic glaze
salt and black pepper
to taste
Instructions
Brush olive oil on both halves of the focaccia bread.
Lightly toast the bread in a grill pan or panini press until golden and slightly crispy.
Spread pesto sauce on the bottom half of the bread.
Layer mozzarella slices, tomato slices, and basil leaves on top.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and black pepper.
Close the sandwich and slice into portions before serving warm.
Notes
For extra crunch, grill the sandwich on both sides for a few minutes. Try adding grilled chicken or prosciutto for a heartier version.
