  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional for caramelization
  • pinch of salt optional, to enhance sweetness

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or coconut oil.
  • Once melted, add sliced bananas in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt over the bananas.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes until the bananas start to caramelize.
  • Flip the bananas gently and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the bananas and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

For an indulgent treat, serve with vanilla ice cream, pancakes, or yogurt. For a healthier version, omit the brown sugar and use coconut oil instead of butter.
