Mini Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk 110°F (43°C)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Cinnamon Filling

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Icing

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add melted butter, egg, flour, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 10x12-inch rectangle.
  • Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long edge to form a log.
  • Use a sharp knife or dental floss to slice into 1-inch rolls.
  • Place rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • For the icing, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

These mini cinnamon rolls can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to 5 days. Reheat before serving.
