Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients
  

Garlic Butter Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 2-3 hours to infuse the flavors.
  • During the last 20-30 minutes, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Stir to coat with the butter sauce.
  • Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.
  • Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

For extra richness, add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat or a splash of white wine to the butter sauce before slow cooking.
